Our Story
SUNNY NEST LTD is a privately-owned British business, registered in London, making traditional garden goods the patient way — one honest material at a time.
How it began
SUNNY NEST began where many gardens do — with very little room. On a narrow balcony above Stoke Newington High Street, our founder Selin Koca coaxed herbs into mismatched pots and learned, winter by winter, which materials would hold their own against the English weather, and which would quietly give up by February.
Out of that slow apprenticeship came a simple ambition: to gather a compact collection of garden goods made from materials that ask to be repaired, not replaced. We partner with a handful of family workshops we visit ourselves, finish each piece by hand, and ship through Amazon so that ordering and returning stay as plain and dependable as the tools.
Every item carries the same quiet promise — that it will still belong in the garden long after the season that brought it home.
What we hold to
We finish every piece by hand and check it ourselves, because a tool that feels right in the palm is a tool that gets used — and kept — for years.
We look to the older British makers — the forges, potteries and joiners — for methods that have already proved themselves across generations.
We are a privately-owned company registered in England and Wales, and we say plainly where and how each piece is made — nothing hidden, nothing overstated.
In the garden
“The herb garden arrived already leafy and full of life; it has become part of my morning, pinching fresh leaves for breakfast.”
“Bought the tool set for my father and kept it myself. The ash handles have taken on the loveliest colour after a single season in the beds.”
“Real people answer the messages, which I never expect from an Amazon seller. The planter survived the frost and looks better for it.”
